Established in 1990 BOHC has been providing occupational health services for over 30 years, this is reflected through our longstanding relationships with many of our clients.
All our occupational health nurses are registered by The Nursing Council of New Zealand, which is the statutory authority that governs our nursing practice. The Council sets and monitors standards in the interests of the public and the profession. We all maintain annual practicing certificates and comply with requirements for professional development hours etc. We are all members of the NZ Occupational Health Nurses Association and the local groups that meet throughout the year. We are gradually building up our member ship of HASANZ.
We have all worked in a range of nursing environments prior to working in occupational health and believe we offer quality service which comes from our vast knowledge and experience. As part of our transition into occupational health nursing, we have all gained various qualifications in occupational health, including Diploma in Occupational Health and Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing. Our knowledge and skills have developed and continue to grow through courses, in-house training and qualifications in spirometry, audiometry, drug screening etc.
BOHC works closely with our clients to provide occupational health services tailored to the environments our clients operate in, the roles of their employees and the equipment they use. We are proudly New Zealand owned and operated and have been working alongside many of our clients for over 30 years.
