Drug and alcohol testing

We test employees for any drug and/or alcohol usage that may impair performance or their safety or the safety of others at work.

Urine drug testing and Oral (saliva) drug testing

As NZQA Certified collectors, our staff are able to complete urine drug testing or oral (saliva) drug testing onsite or at our clinic as required. Testing includes instant drug testing and/or extended drug testing (with the specimen sent to an accredited laboratory).

Drug testing is most commonly completed as part of:

Pre-employment medical
Annual health monitoring
Random employee testing
Post incident testing

Alcohol testing

Alcohol testing is completed using a breathalyser, producing an instant result. Testing levels are assessed with regard to:

Levels set by the company (as outlined in the company’s drug and alcohol policy)
The NZ land transport regulations

Alcohol testing is most commonly completed as part of:

Pre-employment medical
Annual health monitoring
Random employee testing
Post incident testing
